The “911” of the New York International Bridal Show
It was show time once again this fall and the NY International Bridal Show did not disappoint in presenting some very beautiful trends for the upcoming 2016 season. The trend continues in beautiful lace and draping in gowns, but we also found a continuing trend in the short wedding gowns, gowns with feathers and other elements such as color printed bottoms that had a really interesting appeal.
The look of head pieces has also shifted a bit along with some of the dresses to reflect a more causal Boho look that is now trending high in the bridal market. We found some fabulous head pieces that can not only be worn for wedding and bride’s maids look but also are inexpensive enough for every day. We are carrying them now at The Persnickety Bride.
New wreath type metal bands in a variety of shapes and colors. So cool for Boho weddings that can be dressed up or down.
Close up of one of the plain bands in gold on auburn hair. We also have some with rhinestones as well.
My littlest assistant, Isabella, trying on a gorgeous cream colored headpiece we just bought for our studio collection.
Of course we shopped for fabulous jewelry for our bridal jewelry collection that continues to grow.
This is probably one of our favorite dresses to come out of the show – love the bottom with the onset of printed muted florals.
Another adorable find that we are carrying the Girly Go Garter – so darling for girls to carry their essentials!
Just love the back on this dress – I don’t care how many times I may see this look from different designers – on the right bride – a tall one in my opening this is a fabulous looking gown! There were also a number of manufacturers catering to the need for truly customized gowns. I love that idea because brides are always looking for what is going to set them apart from everyone else. No one wants a cookie cutter look for their wedding. It’s great to pull ideas of pinterest, but making them your own are the key to pulling off your special day. It is the one thing we constantly hear from our couples. What will make their wedding unique and different. We have just received a full shipment of product from several of our jewelry and headpiece manufacturers. I can’t wait to start showing them to our clients. They are absolutely gorgeous!
