The creation of The Persnickety Bride has been an evolution. My career started as a senior buyer for a large retailer of over 1,200 stores. It was there that I learned my lessons in trends, style and what drives the American consumer.

I started my first company, DBP & Associates, Inc. in 1994 as a sales and marketing organization in the gift, stationery, book and music industries. It still exists today, allowing me to work with major retailers across the country.

I've always been a career driven person, but found my true love and best friend, Cary, in 1999. In November of 2001, we married. Ten years and three children later, our love and joy have grown.

Planning our wedding was one of the most fun and exciting things I have ever done. It was easy and seamless. I knew what I wanted and when I wanted it. Not a moment of panic went into planning – just the sheer joy of knowing that what I was doing would work. It this expertise and mindset that I decided to start The Persnickety Bride.

Our staff has been assembled to help you, the couple-to-be. Your excitement and desires are what drive us to perfection. We are "persnickety" so you don't have to be. You can relax while we dot every I and cross all those T's. There is no higher compliment than one from the excited fiances once they have received their wedding stationery. Suddenly, I see them pause and all their planning and preparation becomes very real. Their date in front of their eyes. All their favors and accessories are in place. Now all they need is the big day to arrive.
